Nottingham Trent International College Art Fair
Friday 31 July saw the first NTIC Foundation Art and Design Final Show. Held at the Bonington Gallery, this event was a huge success with 37 students proudly displaying their work.
Several staff from both NTIC and NTU attended the event, as well as the students and, in some cases, their families. A wide variety of work was on display, from a reinvention of the design for York House to an installation created from cigarette butts, and fashion design that would not have looked out of place on a film set.
The surprise of the evening was a brief fashion show which demonstrated the luminescent qualities of one of the designs. The show provided the students with a fantastic opportunity to understand how best to display their final pieces, and see how others reacted to them. It also gave them the chance to explain their ideas, techniques and work processes to visitors.
